Second place usually wins around $100,000, so I doubt JT will give him part of the million. Regardless, I’m happy with the outcome.

All Survivor contestents sign a contract with the stipulation that they can't share their winnings with other contestents. This is done to prevent 2 or more people for allying and agreeing to split the winnings. When Rob and Amber from All-Stars got married they had to prove that all of Amber's winnings were in a seperate account that Rob didn't have access to. My understanding is that even after the show is over Mark Burnett and CBS can sue for return of the prize money if they find out it was split.
