Kobe doesn't play D or make his teammates better? So he isn't all NBA defensive team year in.

 

Hilarious. The Hawks are a joke of a team, of course Lebron is going to look even better against them.

 

Kobe plays defense. LeBron's defense is just different, there's just something about it that really triggers what the Cavs do. As for making people better who has Kobe ever made better? WHO? Lamar Odom? No he was borderline all-star in Miami and with the Clippers. Gasol? No way, statistically he was better with the Grizz. Bynum? No, he was suppose to be good once someone had the time to work with him? Who has he ever made better?

 

LeBron helped Mo get from a nice player to an all-star, Delonte West into a solid contributer, turned Wally's underachieving career around, revitalized Big Z's, Varajao, Joe Smith and Big Ben's careers, sets up Boobie Gibson to succeed. Those players are not a very good collection by themselves, LeBron makes them a contender. Don't act like the Hawks are terrible. They have a very nice team when healthy, which they are not right now.

 

Offensively Kobe is not better, he can shoot better. He cannot hand the ball better, take it to the rack better, or pass better and those aren't even close. LeBron is superior to Kobe in every physical category other than jump shooting.

 

I guess none of us know what we are talking about. Kobe is better than LeBron, MJ, Wilt, he would be a better baseball player than Babe Ruth or Hank Aaron, and would put Joe Montana to shame at QB. Kobe is the next GOP candidate for president, and he is curing cancer and aids.

LeBron's defense is different. Kobe is a great lock down defender, but LBJ plays the passing lanes, back tips, blocks shots, and just does things that create more havoc for the entire opposing team not just who he's guarding.

 

Fish is a fine player. Actually, he probably benefitted from playing with the Deisel more than Kobe. Fisher's game doesn't depend on Kobe like many of the Cavs rely on LBJ's. Fish did well in Utah when he played there a few years ago. Ariza, is another player who is coming into his own. His game is his game, I don't see how Kobe makes or breaks it.

 

Kobe isn't a ball handler though, he rarely runs the point. LeBron could sole play the PG role and excel.

 

And Kobe is one of the best. LeBron is the best and it's not close. Kobe can be #2, but he cannot be 1 in any shape, form, or fashion.

Kobe is a very good defensive player... But does he guard Ron Artest? Who did he guard against Utah? Kyle Korver I believe. Lebron is an absolute stud in every facet of the game. Kobe is a top 5 player of all time, but LBJ might end up being the all time greatest...

I really, really hope so....that would bring me back to the NBA as a fan!

Here's my thing....Kobe is amazing, so is LeBron, but it seems LeBron is getting better while Kobe is maintaining, I feel that LBJ will leave Kobe behind him, and put himself in a Top 3 discussion....MJ, LBJ, and there will be fodder for conversation for #3....

Uhh, Fisher has been in the league for 13 years. I think you may need to pick another example for that one.

I can't wait till the Finals so we can settle this debate. If the they both make it. Denver is playing very very well. Lets be honest, the EAST is pretty awful, wish the Lakers had that cake walk to the finals.

Cats opinion on the matter if clearly tainted IMO. He is an admitted Kobe hater. If you want to make an argument for Lebron being better then so bet, you can make a case, but to say he is head and shoulders better than Kobe is laughable at best.

You absolutely love Kobe..there's nothing wrong with that. He's the Jordan of your generation. I can take an outsider's point of view...Kobe is great, likely a Hall of Famer. He had better win a title sans-Shaq, or it won't matter. If LBJ brings the title home this season, the argument is moot, IMO.
