NKY - JV Tourney

Campbell co. has to be the favorite, very solid team.

Is CC's record a product of their schedule? Have they played Ryle/CCH/NC/Boone/Brossart? If so, how did they fare?

They beat Boone Co., split with NCC....beat Brossart twice...did not play Ryle and just lost to CC yesterday....with the tourney just next week and a possible 2nd round match with CC, if they get bye the winner of Brossart-vs-Beechwood, doubt they wanted to show CC anything. Should be an interesting upper part of the bracket with a lot of solid teams.

Ryle's combination of being a very solid team on it's own merit - coupled with a pretty darn favorable draw - make them the clearcut favorite to me. Throw them in the top bracket with a few of those teams and things change, but it would be pretty surprising for them not to come out of their bracket and probably have more available pitching than whomever they would face.

I heard CC was undefeated but lost to CCH last night 13-3 in 6? That doesn't sound correct...I mean I know the score is, but CC must have been throwing off or something..

So CC has a pitcher that they held back in the CCH game?

I would think they have one or two....why would show a team who may be playing in upcoming JV tournament your best???? Don't get me wrong, having to play the winner of Brossart-vs-Beechwood will be a tough game. But they have played both of those teams before and not having playing Cov.Cath. at all before yesterday, again why show your hand?

I would think that Campbell County did not show their best pitching, but what would worry me is only scoring 3 runs. I think that would be too much pressure to know that you can't give up more than 3 runs to win. Camels better wake up with their bats if they want to go anywhere in the tourney.

I think it was actually 2 runs.

The JV draw was last week and the matchups listed are correct.

There will be 4 games on Saturday 5/9. The rest of the 1st round games will be on Monday 5/11.

Boone beat Scott on Sat. and will play Ryle Monday who had a 1st round bye.

Campbell was something like 11-1. Only loss to NCC 10-8 before the CovCath game. I was told they played very poor defense.
