I don't remember if Ernie did anything after the trade. But Brock helped the Cardinals win two World Series during the 60's. He also broke Maury Wills single season stolen base record. Brock also made it into the hall of fame.
April 22, 200917 yr Cardinals are playing well. I said that they would be better than most experts were predicting. If the bullpen can do the job they would be very solid. The pen has blown most of the losses.

I don't think its that close. The Sox owner got enough money to finance a play, that failed. The Yankees became the dominant franchise in baseball and won numerous rings with Ruth, who retired as the greatest baseball player EVER when he was finished. Meanwhile the Sox went 86 years without a championship. Brock was a great player and Hall of Famer but Ruth was the best ever when he retired and probably still one of the 10, if not 5 best ever.
