Regardless if you agree or disagree, why as a commentator do you bring race into the equation when it has zero bearing on the discussion?

That's a fair point and one that those on the left should learn because it certainly seems that there are some (Garafolo for instance) that will take any disagreement with Obama as racism.

I'm not sure how you can say that we're too far apart for me to discuss this with you. You haven't even given me a chance. I don't say this to malign you, but it's not a fair way to determine what I think, or explain what you think.

 

I'm sure you don't mean it this way, but the fact that you've offered no concrete reasons why Obama should be impeached is leading me to the conclusion that it's not anything Obama has done, or hasn't done, or could or would possibly do. I used a bad choice of words when I said impeach. I’m fully aware that there are no grounds for impeaching BHO. I should have said…I wish he were no longer MY president.

 

In his own words, BHO has stated that Al-Qaeda is not constrained by the Constitution. As I see it, our President views the constitution as being a constraint, not only to Al-Qaeda but to the US government as well. In his own words (linked on this site during the campaign) he said that the constitution was flawed because it took too much power from government. Duh! I take it as he has more faith in government than he does the people.

 

The CIA memos pertaining to enhanced interrogation techniques that he insisted the world view is an absolute disgrace in my opinion. There’s a chance that some men and women that did their job (within the law at the time) may be jailed for protecting American citizens. The success that those very techniques provided was purposely not released. Another disgrace IMO.

 

During the campaign he and the biased main stream media portrayed him to be one that will unite beyond party lines and theologies. Boy has that ever turned out to be a lie. He has followed democratic/liberal lines only.

 

This BHO admin is on pace to be responsible for more debt on this country that a normal mind can comprehend. I can’t stand the idea of our children loosing liberties over this debt down the road.

 

The BHO admin is close to telling or taxing me out of the option of owning a SUV or 4X4 full size truck. The color I chose may be next.

 

The BHO admin is trying to take control of almost EVERY bank. This cannot be good.

The “Tax Cut For 95% of Americans” is another outright lie meant to do nothing but deceive. 50% of Americans that EARN a paycheck don’t even pay income tax. Give me a break.

I was willing to give BHO a chance to earn my support. After only a few months he’s given me nothing and is drifting farther away from my beliefs every day.

 

If I said I don't want him as my president because he's black or a democrat, would you believe that? Is that the feeling you have?

Thank you! That's what I was looking for! As to your last comment, in bold, no...that's now what I was getting at. But, I did feel you were simply projecting a dislike that had little root in logic. Although I don't agree with some of what you say, I have enough respect for differences to realize you have drawn your own conclusions.

 

I do think, though, that only 3 months is a short time to make a definitive decision as to whether he's going down the wrong path...nothing his administration has put in motion has had scarce time to succeed or fail.

We have sided with unsavory individuals because they were the enemies of our enemies. Sometimes it still bit us on the backside. Kennedy did shake hands with Krushchev, but later he played hardball with the Cuban missiles and Krushchev.

 

Proving that you can do both.

 

Kennedy was willing to open dialogue...just like Obama. The other party can take that and go in a few different directions. Accept and talk. View it as a sign of weakness and try to exploit that...Kruschev thought he could bully Kennedy as a result and found out different.

 

As long as Obama is willing to play hardball when the time is necessary, I don't have a problem with his current attempts to open up dialogue with people we've been at odds with.

Obama's attempts with Cuba seem to be going over well with Fidel...
