If he's already garnering interest, why risk hurting his draft stock? Just go to the workouts & hope to impress enough teams & have one of them take a chance on you. Right now, Paulus' biggest attraction is his mystique. People are intrigued because of how well he played in high school. Back then, he was the cream of the crop. No reason to prove otherwise by stepping onto a college football field.
April 14, 200917 yr Why play for a bad college team when you can get paid to play..Paulus is the football equivalent of a guy that signs a minor league contract with a baseball team and is a non-roster invitee to spring training. If Paulus plays a year at Duke and shows he's an NFL-quality quarterback, he's likely going to be drafted in 2010.

April 15, 200917 yr I know, but no one was expecting him to become one of the best tight ends in the game either. I'm not saying Paulus will be Tom Brady's backup, but there is a reason the Packers took a look at him. If they are taking the time to look at him, then I would assume it is in the realm of possiblity that he could be in an NFL camp someday.
