April 1, 200917 yr Only UK fans would complain about Harris in that lineup.. Nobody complained, just expressed that they felt there will likely be better options on the roster.
April 1, 200917 yr So the SEC is a one trick pony ehh? In the last 15 years the SEC has 5 Championships won by 3 teams. (1994, 1996, 1998, 2006, 2007) The Big 10 has a Championship won in 2000--Michigan State The ACC has 3 Championships won by 3 teams ( 2001, 2002, 2005) The PAC 10 has 2 Championships by 2 teams (in 1995 and 1997) The Big East has 3 Championships by 2 teams (1999, 2003, 2004) The Big 12 has 1 Championship by 1 team (2008) I'm just curious how, except for your obvious, Big East Snobbery, you can call the SEC a 1 trick pony. C'mon, support your argument. The numbers are way, way, against you. I'm sure he meant recently except for 3 of the last ten years, the SEC has been a one trick poney team. BTW, good thing you didn't throw out tourney numbers.
April 1, 200917 yr The writer is off his rocker if he believes that foolishness. The SEC will continue to be a one-trick pony, with a rotating cast of second bananas. Just like always. I assume by "one trick pony" you elude to a One team contender thought. Just like always. Despite 1994, 1995, 1996, 2007 and a few other years when a couple were in the Final 8 at the same time. Most years, yes, the SEC is a one trick pony. But not ALWAYS. BTW, the years above were multiple SEC teams in the Final Four. Far from "one trick ponies." Sorry Jim, that's one time the hyperbole was a little over the top. :thumb:
April 1, 200917 yr Yes he is but Pilgrim is more of a 4 than a 3. Ramon is more of a 3 than a 4. It could workout though, you never know. Pilgrim can step outside and shoot the ball a bit... Harris could be the cigar man at the end of the bench next year if he stays.
April 1, 200917 yr ^Next year is the honeymoon so whatever happens, good or bad, I think Calipari will be given a pass. The next year though will be a different story... People are already talking about National Championships for NEXT year. Honeymoon? That will end with KY fans as soon as he misses on a recruit!
April 1, 200917 yr A one-trick pony with a "second banana" that has 2 of the last 4 national titles. Come on Colonel, don't throw those silly facts around like that, it clouds the argument.
