March 29, 200917 yr http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93251 The move began with Rep. Keith Ellison, D-Minn, who took his oath of office with a hand on the Quran Wow
March 29, 200917 yr I understand your posts, but do you think Muslims are not qualified to hold positions in government? Do you assume all will attempt to overthrow the government? Bottom line, what did Keith Ellison do wrong to earn a "wow" from you? What did Obama do wrong?
March 29, 200917 yr Its not that they are not qualified. I just feel he should appoint the best people, not based on their religion.
March 29, 200917 yr Its not that they are not qualified. I just feel he should appoint the best people, not based on their religion. Bingo
March 29, 200917 yr What is his positon in the Administration ? Why are you opposed to Muslims working in the administration ? How do you know he is not qualified for his position ? The link really doesn't give any of this information .
March 29, 200917 yr Its not that they are not qualified. I just feel he should appoint the best people, not based on their religion. I can understand how you feel. However, looking at this, So far, 45 Ivy League grads, Fortune 500 executives and government officials have been submitted for consideration. I am not sure that some of the best candidates aren't being considered.
March 29, 200917 yr My concerns are the same as others. So, end of discussion? You post a link, respond with "wow" and then just say your concerns are the same as others? That's pretty wide open. Which others?
March 29, 200917 yr Many of those people you cite pulled out due to the vetting process. Well, I didn't cite any specific people, but if you have that information, please feel free to pass it along. :thumb:
March 29, 200917 yr Well, I didn't cite any specific people, but if you have that information, please feel free to pass it along. :thumb: I misread the post. I know that President Obama has stated a few times that several qualified people have passed on the opportunity to work in the White House due to the vetting process.
March 30, 200917 yr Author So, end of discussion? You post a link, respond with "wow" and then just say your concerns are the same as others? That's pretty wide open. Which others? I never understand why you have to have certain type of person, rather than just the best.
March 30, 200917 yr I never understand why you have to have certain type of person, rather than just the best. :thumb: Thanks.
March 30, 200917 yr http://wnd.com/index.php?fa=PAGE.view&pageId=93251 Wow Just wondering if he paid his taxes:ohbrother:
March 30, 200917 yr I never understand why you have to have certain type of person, rather than just the best. I agree. However, the article was very vague on what is going on. If Muslims are being targeted and given special consideration, then I have a problem. I would also have a problem if Christians, Jews, blacks, whites, asians, or anyone else were being targeted. If they are merely being encouraged to apply with the expectation that they have as good a chance as anyone else, then I am all for it.
