Famous for assaulting Spreewell's hands with his throat. :lol: Pitino was the 2nd one Newton went after and landed him away from the Knicks. I read somewhere that Pitino initally was not interested and was reapproached by CM Newton and took the job at that point.

He's one of the few that have the ego and persona to handle the UK job IMO. I would just hope like heck he kept his hands clean. I'd put the chance of him coming at about 10% though so I think it's a moot point.
March 27, 200917 yr It was clear to me that Calipari did not want to talk about it. He seemed to tighten up at the end of the interview & ultimately left. It was an awkward interview, because the reporters were at the airport & the team was just getting off the plane. The bottom line is that I don't trust anybody.
