I don't tink Rollins can be replaced but Lowrie and Barton will be very good in the backfield. More speed than lawson but not as strong.

 

Actually Jeremy Collins is at left tackle replacing Rollins and should anchor that side very well. Perkins is playing center and is going to be stable. Root at right guard, and King at right tackle should do very well. Root is pretty technically sound and will improve daily, and King may be the most improved player on the team.

Expect a ton of speed out of the backfield with Lowrie, and Barton will spell him and be the brusing back Lawson was last year. Overall I expect to see an explosive offense yet again this year.

Ryan Moses continues to improve and should shatter school records this year.

I heard Lowrie broke his leg riding a dirt bike Sunday. Big loss for the Burg.

Why are these kids on dirtbikes during the season????

In their defense, kids will be kids. It's not the NFL with stipulations on what they can and can't do when they are not playing (I'm talking about sky diving and bike riding, not alcohol or drugs, just to be clear). Friday night football is a pastime for many, a real passion for a few. They don't think about a lot of things such as "If I ride this bike and get hurt, there goes my teams season." They think "I'll bet this is going to be fun!".

The lineman is a reserve and will hurt depth somewhat. Lowrie is a big loss, but then I think that the burg will adjust and you cant forget what a talent Barton is. I thought it was interesting to see some of the young guys catch the ball well for the Jackets in scrimmage last night. Yes Lowrie is a tough loss, but look to see the Jackets make a good adjustment and find a way to make positive progress.

Best of luck to Lowrie on quick recovery. I agree with volfan, Barton looks to be the go to guy, blocked well, then went to receiver and made big plays, then destroyed runners on defense. If they use him, he could make a huge impact. Jackets have good talent, defense will need to improve. Petit will need to go both ways when season starts, he will have to be a force on both

sides for Jackets to be sucessful. Cornerbacks need work. Hopefully Lowrie will be back before playoffs - Williamsburg will need his speed.

I hate to hear this about Chris. He is a great kid. He would have been an explosive player this year, probably the fastest player on the team. Who was the oher injury? Please let Chris know I wish him the best and a speedy recovery.
