From what I've seen so far....

1. Vee Sanford- I think he's the best player in the tournament. He just took over against BG.

2. Elisha Justice- Probably the best pure ball handler that I've seen this year.

3. Ethan Faulkner- As I've always said, he is a threat for a triple double any night.

 

Middleton was very good as well, I don't know if he is a PG.

Lot of good point guards but Elijah Justice gets the nod for me. He creates so many things and rarely makes a mistake and thats the sign of a good true PG IMO. I mean he almost always plays mistake free. Furthermore he plays within himself and doesn't try to do too much, but when he has to take the game over he can and has done so numerous times this season. Can torch the nets from outside.

After watching the entire tournament, I will agree.

After watching the tournament, I agree with all of the above. It'd be hard for me to say who the best is without wanting to give my favorite a nod. I loved all of the good point guard play that I witnessed this week and every point guard that I saw this week lived up to the hype.

 

Justice was a fun point guard to watch. He had a knack for knowing when to take the game over and delivered every time.

 

Ethan Faulkner is a true leader and floor general. Truly a treat to watch traditional point guard play done at the level he performed at.

 

Jarrod Polson is my favorite. I am a 12th region homer and when you look at Polson, you wouldn't think he is as dangerous with the rock as he is. I can't wait to watch him next year. My favorite Polson moment, after West Jessamine defeated Grayson County on Friday, he finished with 22 points, 9 rebounds, and 7 assists and told the radio interviewer that "he had a bad game, but thankfully his teammates were able to pick him up so they could survive and advance."

 

Ricardo Johnson was truly the MVP of the tournament regardless of his performance in the championship game. To see someone with his size run the point as smooth and efficient as he does is a treat. I would think that some D-I school would be lucky to get him. He can only get better.

 

I would have to say that those 4 point guards were my favorites of the week and if I had to pick one to run my team, I wouldn't be disappointed at all with whomever I picked.

I take Elisha Justice over Faulkner. He frustrated Faulkner Friday night. Quick, strong....

Faulkner is good...I think NKU is getting a steal with him.

It's a shame none of you mentioned Central's Robinson. He's the main reason they were able to give Holmes so much trouble. His penetration created open shots for his teammates all night long. He played the best, IMO.

 

Wilson was the workhorse, but Robinson set the table for everyone.
