Southside/South Charleston updates

[Lion Mania]

Two teams Elliott defeated are also having very successful seasons. Here are the updates on them.

 

Southside (SC) won their second straight Class A State Championship and finished 30-2. Southside is ranked #92 nationally by Rivals. Their two losses were to #84 Arlington Country Day by 6 points and Elliott by 9 points in the Myrtle Beachball Tourney. They also beat Fayette Co. (GA) & Mullins (SC) in that tourney. They finished 29-0 in the state of South Carolina.

 

South Charleston is ranked #1 in Class AAA in West Virginia and has a record of 24-1 with their only loss by 18 points to Elliott County. They head into the West Virginia State Tournament as the favorite.

 

Unlike the Cedar Hill update I gave earlier this is not intended to turn into an gripe session on Elliott and the merits of their schedule. My intention is to inform the Elliott County fans & interested others that we have beaten some teams with success and share that with them. Personally I will have no other comments on this thread.

I Saw all those teams play. They all would stack up with the Best Ky. has to Offer.

Folks, I'm a fan of Elliott and hope they win it all next week, but do we still need to show that those wins were legit? Is there still a feeling of ineptitude or a Rodney Dangerfield lack of respect? I don't think so. The wins at home were enough to make a case. No offense intended but are we still gonna continue to beat this guy?:deadhorse:
