I'll have to go with Lexington Catholic in this one even though I'd LOVE to se BG pull off the victory. Bowling Green is a good team, and played some great games in the 4th region tournament... But I think they have to much on their plate this time.

Lexington Catholic has the advantage of playing in their own backyard and they will also have the best player on the floor. Put those two factors together and the Knights advance rather easily.

Question is: who is the best player for Bowling Green...I would get an insurance policy!

 

When I saw them in the best of best tournament earlier in the year it was #3 D.J. Ray. BG is very long and really depends on there pressure defense to succeed but I dont see them really bothering Lex Cath! Catholic by 13

Bowling Green is not very good. The best two teams in the region were upset and Bowling Green had an easy path and still almost blew it.

 

If Lexington Catholic plays well at all they will win by 15 or more.

Bad luck has befallen the best player in Lex. Cath's recent two opponents.

Prince Stewart, Henry Clay's best player broke his ankle playing Lexington Catholic, and Richie Phares, Scott County tore his ACL during the Lafayette game prior to the Lex. Cath. game.

I wouldn't sell BG short. Catholic definitely should be the favorite, but the game isn't a gimme.

Who were their top 2 scorers/rebounders in the regional tournament and how big are they?? The only past Bowling Green player that comes to mind is that blonde haired kid back in the late 90s that could shoot real good. Sorry, don't remember his name. I believe he was the coach's son??

I have seen BG play not sure stats for the regional tournament but earlier in the year there top scorers were DJ Ray and then there is a mixture from game to game of about 3 players. They are not very big I believe there biggest player is about 6'2" or 6'3" and he doesnt play in the post he is more of a 3 point threat. If BG is hot from behind the 3 point line and can force alot of turnovers this game could be alot closer than most think!

In the early 90's their was Cannon Simpson who was the son of Don Simpson, the basketball coach, he had blonde hair and could shoot. After Cannon was Kevin Willard, son of Ralph Willard who was coaching Western at the time but is at Holy Cross now I believe, and then after Kevin Willard was Matt Simpson who was Cannon's younger brother and Coach Simpson's middle child. You could be talking about any of the the 3. They all had blonde hair and they all 3 could shoot.

That is not going to happen this game will not even be close.
