No one is talking "fault" or excuses. When you look at the reason Mason won you have to consider all the variables involved. Clark County is a young team and with our sophomore class only getting better I am sure we will be competetive next year! Like I said before there is always next year!:ylsuper:

My questions on this game...I have not seen Shelby Valley

 

1. Who guards Middleton (with him being 6'4)?

2. Can Downing stay out of foul trouble and bother Justice with his length or are Hamm and Gilbert better suited to guard Justice?

3. Can SV big man match up athletically with Pawsat and Barner?

4. Can Pawsat physically match up with the big guy.

 

Mason Co. is a very versatile team, they can change there whole makeup without losing anything talentwise. Should be a great game. I'll guess and take Mason by 3.

!. If Mason spreads the floor and Middleton is on his game, he is almost impossible to stop going to the basket regardless of who is guarding him.

2. Hamm is best on ball defender on MC. I would have him start on Justice and maybe use Phil Barner, athletic and long at 6'7" from time to time. Downing will have him some of the time.

3.Pawsat plays about five inches taller than he is and noone is more competitive. He is relentless.Treg Setty is 6'7" and is playing excellent ball and is a solid rebounder and there is Barner. The Royals will be just fine against the bigs; my suspicion is Justice who is their best player will be main concern.

4. Mason will have had nine days to prepare for SV. When they have this much time an excellent game plan and scouting report will be developed. No detail will be overlooked. The scouting mason coaches do is amazing for a high school program and a major reason for their success in my opinion. However as we know,preparation is one thing and execution is another. Should be a great high school game with lots of emotion and excitement. GO ROYALS!!!

Clark has some guards that should be able to fill in next year. They have Christian Brewer, who saw limited time this season but can play, a couple of guards from the jv and a frosh guard. Most of them lack varsity experience but in time should do fine. They need to work hard this summer and play as much as possible on AAU. Just have to wait and see.

Hopefully this is the last year baseball players take up a lot of positions on Humphreys bench. A lot of them are good athletes but not basketball players! I know in GRC there are better basketball players and I think Humphrey will seek them out. Have no fear we will be back next year!:deadhorse::ylsuper:

I don't know. Almost everybody I talk to here want SV to win. Lots of fans want the rematch. I don't know how the players feel though, as they would likely want to win the Anderson game first.

Mason will RUN away with it.

Not sure about that, win, maybe. Run away with, I don't think so. Elliott beat Mason in regular season, and Shelby Valley beat Elliott in the All "A", so I don't think it will be a run away for either team. I look for a 5-10 point win for whoever might win.:thumb:
