I agree with you Thunderbirds. The gray haired fella probably struggled the most. He signaled a 3pointer in the first half for Highlands because he was 15 ft from the shot but he let the bald guy who was on the opposite side of the court overrule him and call it a 2 pt basket. That was the first sign of weakness. When he called the charge on Gordon in the 2nd half it just put the icing on the cake.

 

If he had a better angle regardless of his positioning on the court and made the correct call then what is wrong with that? How many times have you watched a college game where they have to go to video replay to determine whether or not the shot was a two or a three? Plays in basketball can happen very quickly and sometime the angle of what is seen is critical. Again, I don't have a problem with a signaled three from his angle being overruled as long as it is correct. Why is this a sign of weakness?

 

 

Gordon couldnt get a break. On the first charging call I thought he did a good job of getting rid ot he ball and shooting before contact was made because he probably knew he was a sitting duck for a charge. Great call on the player control foul but horrible call not counting the basket. The bald guy once again coming in and saying no basket. Im sure a lot of his calls were based on being ridden by Schlarman though.

 

With all this said I wouldnt want their job and I respect that they go out there and for the most part probably do a very good job. It is my right though as a fan to observe and comment as well as give my opinion.
