Congrats to Elliott County!

Koudos to Russell and Coach Kidwell! They played outstanding. I sat by a man from Fleming County and we discussed Russell's record and their intensity and never say die attitude. Midway through the 2nd quarter, he turned to me and said, "Too bad Russell drew Elliott. They are way better than Ashland and Rowan." He had never seen Elliott County play (in the past several years) and he was singing their praises, Yes, but he was impressed with what Coach Kidwell had done with his young team!

While I have never seen Elliott Co. play it sounds like they have a very nice team but do you honestly believe that they can come out of the bottom game of the state tournament on Thursday night, beat the 10th or the 15th region on Friday night, beat the 9th or 11th region on Saturday morning and then have enough left in the tank to win the championship over the 6th or 7th region who would be the most rested of the teams on Saturday night. I don't believe they are deep enough and would have the legs left to accomlish that. But then that is what dreams are made of. Good luck and keep supporting your team.

Chris Knipp, really showed again, what a great player he is, he was on fire! Hope Timmy's ankle is doing ok, he sure needs to keep it iced till Monday - played great and showed a lot of versatility in the game. Off the bench points by Morgan, Ceith and Jarrod; as well as, ballhandling by Jarrod, all contributed to a very nice win! Not to mention, the "F" troup, great job last night by Ethan, Evan and Ferg, unbelievable passes. Good luck guys, going into Monday's semi-final against Ashland, can't wait to watch it!

This game could have been much worse if Elliott was hitting their shots a little better. Other than Chris and Timmy I thought the others struggled a little offensively. Ethan was really bad from the line and Ferg misses a little more than usual from three land. With that said I feel sorry for Ashland because the F-Troop usually don't have two off nights in a row.

Good job guys. I think Chris played awesome tonight. He wants his all tourney team award too. Kudos Chris!
