Some of the worst officiating I have ever seen, GO RADIO. Last nights game and tonights game was terrible as far as refs. Rowan County played a good game, but too bad the second half was ruined by the zebras.:puke:

Obviously you didn't like the officiating! Not sure what you mean by the second half being ruined by the zebras, but you saw what you saw. My statement was the officials had no bearing on this game.

I would have loved to see the girls from Sandy Hook pull this one out, a great accomplishment for this great group of young ladies, but I don't think they were cheated out of a championship in any way shape or fashion.

I congratulate Coach Tackett and his girls, they had a hard road to the Sweet 16, no doubt about that!

Didn't she get a "T" on Tuesday v. Fleming also.

There was a double T in that game now that you mention it, but I really don't remember who was assessed the T's. It may have been. The stat sheet doesn't list it. You may be right, I have done so many games in the last couple weeks they are starting to run together!!

That is what the ADI had I believe her and a Harmon from Fleming.

I agree with three peats statement. I also heard a 16th region official say that the ref's hammered EC in 2nd half. Also had a highly rated 16th region coach tell me at halftime, from what he saw in first two Rowan games there is no way refs will let you guys win this one.

The really good one: A Rowan parent said.. quote" We have been getting some ridiculous call's it's almost like the ref's want us to win"quote.

Are you talking a possible conspiracy here! Or just what are you trying to say with these examples.

Well, I didn't make these statements but I can try to make it easier for you to understand. Number one: You said it, he/she didn't. Number two: The truth.

Was the refs moving the goals causing them to shoot so bad or was Rowan fouling them on all of those missed shots.

BTW, to the girls from Rowan County, congratulations on the win. You played hard and here's hoping you represent the 16th well at state.

The officiating had nothing to do with the outcome of this game guys! I will admit there were a couple of quesitonable calls, but as someone already pointed out, Elliott shot 14-45 from the field including 2 of 15 from 3 point land. There was some inconsistency at times between the officials, by that I mean one called it a little tighter than the other two, but he called the same on both ends, as did the other two.

A 5 point 4th quarter will usually get you beat!

Rowan Co

Muncy 8

Brockman 6

Riddle 13

Martin 22

Kissinger 2

Kiser 1

Duff 2

Elliott Co

K Ferguson 8

S Ferguson 6

Ison 4

Griffith 17

FYI -- Lakin Griffith tied a tournament record with 52 rebounds in the tourney.

Do you have Rowans stats also, or just Elliott's?

Congratulations to the Rowan Co. girls, they played the game tonight to win but we are so proud of the Elliott Co. Lady Lions for all of their accomplishments this season.

For the first 3 quarters of this game, they gave Rowan "all they wanted" IMO. The refs did not win or lose this game for Elliott (IM0); however, there were several horrible calls, such as an Elliott Co. player lying under 3 Rowan Co. players on the floor-after being pushed down and no foul called?:idunno: Another example would be when an Elliott player went up to shoot and got shoved to the floor out of bounds, almost striking her head on the goal post and the ball was turned over to Rowan Co, with no foul called?:idunno:

That being said, the Elliott Co Team has no reason to hang their heads, they have taken the Elliott Co Girls Basketball Program above what anyone thought possible and they should be proud.:clap:

Good luck to all the Senior Lady Lions in their future endeavors!!!:ylsuper::ylsuper:

The game was 38-33 when Ferguson stole the ball at Halfcourt went in for a lay up Riddle comes from Behind and knocks her to the ground and the Ref gives Elliott the ball Out of Bounds. After that it was all down hill for Elliott

Are you sure they gave the ball to Elliott not Rowan? :idunno: or Was that a different time they knocked her to the ground out of bounds?:idunno:

Thank you glad to see someone say that, I would have liked to seen Elliott win. But Rowan is just a better team. Just like on the boys side East was the second best team in the region played Elliott tough but they are not as good as Elliott that's not saying anything bad but as kgsob said earlier that's the truth.

Elliott got the ball that time. Riddle had 3 fouls at the time and that should have been her 4th. The other time was the 1st half when she got sandwiched by 2 Rowan players and lost the ball out of bounds they gave it to Rowan.
