I agree the girls did win with grace and class; however, I was talking about the EC girls doing the same. It makes it hard to root for a team that obviously plays the game with passion when the fans are in the stands cursing an ranting like a drunk hillbilly. That's what makes it hard for someone OTHER than an Elliott Countian to root for the team. Capish?

 

Like Rowan County doesnt have any drunk hillbillies in the stands.:rolleyes: I know for a fact you have the Rudest fan of all that set in the first row of the championship game and wore green stuff on his head and flicked green things in the air like he was a band director all the time. He also flipped off one of the Elliott players and the coach when he got his technical. :thumb:

Of course not. I was at the 9th Region Tournament. However, in a tournament such as this, if there is a standout player on the winning team, particularly when that team dominates the tournament as did RC, he or she should get MVP and not one from the losing team unless his or her performance dwarfed the others. Griffith is a good player and had a good tournament, much because she was so much bigger than all the RC girls, but I believe Martin deserved the award. That's just my opinion.

 

I feel sure that you were there. However, you, like most of those sitting around you, are less than open minded. You seem to see everything solely from deeply partisan eyes. You lost because RC was the superior team. Charlie Chappy and the other fine 9th Region referees didn't come to Morehead with an agenda. The best team won the tournament and we sent you a better crew of officials than you sent us.

Congrats to the Vikings. Ms. Liberty had a great point, the game was bad all around. Didnt call the big calls, but something small and could be over looked they would call. Great game to watch. Elliott had a great year, congrats to them as well.
