March 3, 200917 yr I wish the guy luck, a good friend of mine had to arm himself to get his son. His ex, mother of the boy had been doing meth and living with a convicted sex offender, my buddy had called the sheriff 2-3 times to inform them of this, childrens protectice agency 3-4 times they never even made a visit, he had been to the doctor to document cradle cap, and lice that his son had under her care and the courts still did not intervene, so he got a 12 guage went to the house called the sheriff and said his name, I got a gun and I am going to go in here and get my son in five minutes! The sheriff showed up arrested him but seen what was going on he was released and given emergency custody, the girl has never wanted the kid back. Men get screwed in this stuff all the time.
March 3, 200917 yr Oldone, seems like you know more than others. I do think man get the shaft on cases like this. I wonder if the guy has any record of insanity...I'm another father wondering what the situation is to where you have to arm yourself to kidnap you daughter.

Oh my gosh! What an awful thing your friend had to go to. The system works in weird ways. I am glad they got the picture and allowed him to have his child.

I know that there is a term in custody called standard father visitation, that means every other weekend and one day a week, how is that fair, why is that termed standard? Again this guy can be nuts but there is always two sides to a story.
March 3, 200917 yr If I had to arm myself to get my child back, I wouldn't be staying. I realize that, but your choices are getting out of the country or trying to lay low. Most get caught, then you have armed kidnapping charges on you. THAT is what I was getting at.
March 4, 200917 yr Kid is safe and father arrested. FBI agents caught the father and child in Mexico. Daughter will be returned to mother on Wednesday. God has blessed this family. I hope the father gets the help he needs.

I hope the father gets the help he needs. And I hope the mother gets the help she needs as well, if the father's parents allegations against her are valid. She may have more issues than he has.

March 4, 200917 yr The kid is alive and safe. THAT is what is important. Sounds like there is a lot of trouble with all the adults in this child's life. Maybe a better life awaits this child now, regardless.
