He was the girls coach at Rowan Co, and is now coaching boys in the Western/Central part of the state somewhere.

Troy Lee was an assistant for Lake Kelly during the late 90's. He went on to coach girls at Rowan County and now he is is Green County, I believe. He is just what the FC program needs, someone to bring excitement back to basketball. I hope Fleming administration steps up and makes the right move. These kids have had to put up with nonsense for the last 3 years. I, for one, would love to see Coach Troy Lee Thomas back on the sidelines in that bright yellow jacket he used to wear.

This is so strange. Apparently this guy has been around awhile and I've never heard of him. O'h well, apparently he is held in high regard.

Where did Troy Lee play high school ball at? I believe someone told me he was a pretty darn good player himself.

I believe he was a walk-on at Morehead. I am thinking he may have played for one of the Letcher County schools.

He played at Jenkins High School.

I remember reading the employment vacancy posting on the Kentucky education website and the job included extended employment as a teacher. I'm positive that the coach hired will be teaching in the school system.

Any more news? I heard (not sure of the name) that a former 9th region and 10 region coach who has real close friendships with the superintendent has been in several talks about the job.

Not sure who that would be?? Anybody have any ideas? Whoever the next coach is going to be, it sure is being kept hush hush!

All I know is they need to at least start setting up interviews. The guys I was talking to tonight said it was the old Brossart coach who has had some conversations. Must have been before my time did not recognize the name. Regardless the school needs to at least make some movement.
