I believe Fleming needs a proven head coach. Maybe take Jay under their wing and let him get some seasoning in the high school game. Get rid of the other assistants that were there with Fraser. You dont need 5 assistants on the bench. 3 assistants at the most would be sufficient.

As an outsider I am curious. How high s profile job is this? Is Fleming a big school? Is there potential for success?

I think there is a lot more chance for success since being moved into the

16th region. Fleming has some good kids coming up. There is a lot of potential in this upcoming group. I just hope the administration makes the right decision.

I think Jay would be a great hire. He knows basketball... and like colonelfan said, his cousin could get him in there. I'm all for it.

Since reaching the state tourney in the late 90's, the program has been on a slow downfall. Tons of potential in the next 5-6 years, excellent middle school class. Not taking anything away from next years seniors, they are a talented bunch as well, in need of a coach to get them on the same page.

Troy Lee Thomas would be the just the answer for Fleming Co. As a former assistant to coach Kelly, I believe what he can bring to Fleming will be enough to push them over the top and win a region title.

Region titles in the 10th region are hard to come by.

Talk about some of the current talent with key returning players and the talent at the middle school level. Are the kids at the Middle school level competitive at the region level?

You're dissing the 16th, but I believe they whacked 2 pretty high profile 10th region programs this year; one in a scrimmage and one in Sandy Hook.:sssh:

But traditionally the 16th is a weaker region than the 10th. The 16th has no year in year out basketball schools who tend to dominate the region, it is always open except for the last couple of years with Elliott.
