Refs let the game get out of hand. IMO the refs were bad. It's a wonder if someone didn't get hurt. Thought Zollo played a good game ,he was a warrior on the boards. Hatton shot well from outside and hit his free throws. Thought Rogers made a difference tonight. I thought Rash did a good job on Stenzel . Stenzel did a good job seeing the floor and getting the ball down court with the long pass to Hatton and Daniels. I think Stenzel only took six shots tonight. Someone said he was sick and vomited at half time. Williams played hard and made some good plays. It seemed the ball went into the wrong hands a lot against the press and created a lot of turnovers. Rash played a great offensive game. Montgomery Co has a good chance to advance in the regionals if they get the right draw. They have some good three point shooters and Rash penetrates well. Good luck Cards in the regionals. Take one game at a time.

This did not affect the outcome, but these three refs were so inconsistent in their calls. AND BOTH WAYS!

He did not look good when the team came out and everytime he came out of the game in the second half, a trainer had an ice towel that he put on the back of his neck

Congrats to GRC.

It's nice to see Zollo have another solid game. 18 rebounds, sounds like he hit the boards hard all night !

The Montgomery crowd was pathetic - as bad as the Indians in the first three quarters. No band. Not many fans. The ones who were there were loud, but where was the rest of the Indian faithful?[/quote

I was very surprised to see so few fans from MC. GRC brought a load and glad to see everyone out supporting the cards! Hope to see that up at NKY as well!

Glad to see Rogers back for G.R.C. He played well.Zollo had a terriffic game

banging the boards and hustling getting several putbacks,Robert Hatton played a good game hitting his freethrows and several three's.Daniel also

played well.Hope Stenzel recovers from his illness,Clark is really going to need him down the stretch.Congratulations to coach Humphrey,he has got his team

ready to play. Good luck G.R.C.:dancingpa:dancingpa

It is a long drive to NKY, the advantage is all 10th region first rounds games are on one day - really hope to see good turnouts for the teams.

Unfortunately fans are fickle and they seem to follow the winners more quickly than those who are struggling - so enjoy the support. Wish I knew of a way to get more casual fans out - but...

I thought Rogers was out for the season??? I know I have seen many post on here the last couple months he was... Just curious was Clark County holding out on the truth or was he a very fast and a miracle healer???

Prep Basketball: Cards take title

Hatton scored 22 points and had seven of those in the first quarter. Hatton hit a clutch 3-pointer in the final eight minutes and hit all nine of his shots from the free-throw line.

Overall, Clark outrebounded the Indians 43-27.

Rogers added 12 as three Clark players finished in double figures.

I will answer your question, because I am one of those posters you are referring to on posting he was out for the year. Cory had 2 surgeries, within a weeks time. He was told by the DR that he would be out for the year. Cory went back to the nose DR last week and got a good report. He really wanted to come back and play. That was when it was decided by the DR that he could, if he was fitted with and wore a face guard. It took about a week to get the face guard made and fitted.

Those on here that know me, know that I post the truth.

Thanks Buddie.:thumb:

Stenzel was sick. He was throwing up before the game, at halftime, and after the game.

Yet another example of how tuff these Cards are and their will to win.

To my knowledge the Cards have not played one game this year with everyone healthy. Unbelievable.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the regional tourney if everyone (except Purvis) gets healthy!

mcraycraft, I agree the refs were terrible going both ways. I don't understand why they need 3 refs when they don't call anything anyway. We have one of those refs at least 10 times at Clark and if there was any way to blackball him from calling, then if I was coach Humphries , I'd do it. They sure can create an ugly game. Also , I too was shocked in the number that showed up from Montgomery Co. Last year they had great numbers. Clark really showed up in great numbers. Would be nice to see all these people at the season games although Clark's crowds were good this and last season.:taz:
