16th Region POY

Featured Replies

Show me another team that has a 13 game turnaround this season in the 16th. You can say what you want about losing the only game that matters and I'd point out to even be in the position to get where the Wildcats are at is something most won't understand. It's not about just winning games, it's about changing the culture of the program and that doesn't come easy. Everyone wins and loses, but COY is about doing something more than just 'winning when it matters'.

Im guessing the word "much" was meant to be in there. If not, Im confused as well.

Yes I figured that, but I don't understand why he feels that Justin Moore has to be coach of the year. I'll admit I don't really know a lot about Menifee County, but Rose Hill pretty much lost everybody from last year's team. I don't know why Wireman feels Moore should be such a shoe in over Bush or Webb.

Ferguson for POY and Ethan Faulkner for COY!

This might be correct. :notworthy: I'll sure miss watching this group play.

How about the Metz kid from Bath Co?

He is definitely a heck of a player.

He is definitely a heck of a player.

Not in the same league with Ferg, IMO.

Were I giving the COY award I, too, would give it to J. Moore. There has been a turn around at MCHS, and I am glad to see it.

Considering the success from year one, I am anxious to see year two.

I also believe Menifee's Coach Moore would be an excellent choice for COY. He has changed that whole program. Those boys now believe in themselves. That was no easy feat considering the school record.

Not sure I agree with that. Not the same type player, but would never say not in the same league. Metz can flat out play. Averging better than 24 points per game isn't far from Ferguson numbers. Ferguson may shoot the 3 better, but let him try to stop Metz in the paint. Isn't gonna happen. Two great athletes with different styles of game. While Ferguson is a great player, I would never say Metz isn't in the same league!

Agreed, what ballot should Rick Mays be on?

I would.

I would.

So would I. There is no comparison between the two.

Make that POY a three way split, make it out to the F TROOP:thumb:

:thumb: I all seriousness that would be the only thing to do IMO.
