It seems that no one believes in back to back trips to state for the lady cougars.

 

I agree that the injury bug has hit them hard and they just lost big to the Breds. Conner will come and put up a good fight but there is to many good teams for them to repeat.

When the Breds play Highlands in districts next Friday we will really know how good of a shot that they have of winning the region.

Not real sure. I know it is nice to win the district. And at NCC would be sweet. But do you go all out in a game that really means nothing? I don't know. There is a very good chance we will see these two in the region finals. That would be fun.

No. I think they'll go 100%. But why would you. Seriously, someone could get hurt, if you have a new strategy, why unveil it here. The game really doesn't mean much.

In a regional tournament this tough, you certainly want to go to the regional tournament as a winner so you draw a loser from another district in the first round. The semi finals and finals will more than likely be wars no matter which of the favorites get there. If I can get there as a winner and maybe have an easier opponent in the first round, I will certainly go all out in that district final. It definitely means something.

Agreed but this year if you do win your district you are going to get a loser but that loser may be HHS/NCC or Boone/Ryle those are pretty tough first round games.

I remember a year where NDA and Boone both finished 2nd in District and then met in the Finals. No easy road on this years trip.

You exalt our seniors with patronizing comments about their talents in one breadth and then qualify those statements it in the next with the lack of experience bit. Are you perhaps trying to get a rift started amongst Highlands’s supporters? You’ve recently used these tactics with divisive comments about a Highlands player's minutes being squeezed. You ended that post with, “I don’t have an ax to grind.” It sounds as if Paul Bunyan wouldn't be big enough to carry your ax.

 

Anyway I think it's going to be a great tournament with some exciting finishes.

I presume you take my comment about not being to a regional final as indicating a lack of experience. I don't know how you draw that conclusion. The comment refers to my ORIGINAL comment that Highlands seems to not play as well at tourney time as they do during the season.

I think you may be a little paranoid about the seniors. I stand by my previous comments about Natalie Horner's minutes being squeezed. In MY opinion she hasn't played as much as she should have. Period. It is simply MY opinion. If you think these coments could cause a rift among your supporters, you must feel pretty insecure about their solidarity.

I simply gave my positives and negatives about each team I thought had a chance to win the Ninth region. I still stand by my comments.

Do you know Panda if the favorite that year went into the regional tournament undefeated? For that matter when was the last time a team went into the 9th region tournament undefeated?

Highlands-NDA-NCC, any one of these three I believe will come out on top and I cannot be more specific since this is a gauntlet! :eek: Boone and Ryle can cause an upset in the process but IMO not enough to surface on top.

 

The five best basketball games I saw this year were these three teams against SK. SK finished 3-2 with one loss being a 2 pt drop to NDA. Too much talent on those three teams for anyone else to win it. Maybe an upset in the process but one of these three will win it.

 

I hope I get to see a game or two when not at S. Oldham watching SK.
