When was the last time the Blue Colonels lost to the Red Colonels?

My first time seeing Hatton. He looked very good. I thought Pike played well also. Cov. Cath. never gets a loose ball. It is amazing. When the ball is on the floor or contested in a scrum, the Colonels never come away with it. Coach L. has forgotten more about basketball than I will ever know, but I think it is long past time to be playing some of the better JV players to get them some PT at the varsity level for next year. If we are going to lose by double digits, I would prefer to see it done with players such as Conley, Schult, Robinson, etc along with Heimbrock who will be clawing and scrapping all the way to the final buzzer.

There ARE kids out there playing who are playing hard and trying to make things happen as a team. By putting in all those JV players it would be disrespectful to the four years they have put in. They STILL have a district game in a week against Beechwood to play. I agree the JV players are good kids, and they play their hearts out, but that does not always translate to varsity success. And Heimbrock has been playing for the varsity and he has been doing well.

It was 6 years ago.

BTW, I noticed on the highlights, Drew Powers number was retired. Did they give any reasoning for it?

1883 career points and other phenominal stats to go with..went on to play for Georgetown College...didn't ever see him play, but I'm sure based on what I heard that evening he deserved it.

CovCath has had a very challenging year. Injuries, Illness and Inconsistent play have all be part of the struggles. A couple things that are most disappointing is the inconsistent support that the team has received from the "Crazies", and the lack of team cohesiveness. People blame players, coaches and even the administration. Truth be told all probably share some in the blame.

The saddest thing is that the even the families have had a part in the poor season. They post on BGP, and criticize players and coaches, thinking they are hurting no one because they are anonymous. When in reality they end up hurting the team they support. Unfortunately players and coaches both read what is written about them. They let the comments of the family members affect the team chemistry.

I just hate to see the enjoyment of HS basketball be lessoned by hard feelings from players and family members, because of some of the anonymous comments made on forums such as this.

The reality is in 20 years you will have a hard time remembering the individual wins and losses. However, the team spirit, the friends the special bond that is HS sports is all that sticks with you. Enjoy it while you can, don't let small minded people's comments take away from this great experience.

Friends and family members, please remember the feelings of the teenage players, their siblings as well as their parents. Calling out individual players leaves hard feelings and hurts team chemistry. Even if you are "anonymous", people know those people close to the program, and it hurts them.

I agree it is in poor taste to "call out" a high school athlete. On the other hand, if things posted on BGP impact a team's chemistry, there are some very serious flaws in the team and the program.
