Instead of degrading on Harrison, shouldnt we be shocked that they have only been beaten by Mason by 8 both times they have played them. They have both been well fought games by both teams.

I haven't degraded them one bit, see post #13.

Was it me or was the refs terrible in this game?

Harrison should of won the game. They led by 4 with 6 minutes to go. Turnovers and free throws hurt them while there defense kept them in the game until late when Mason pulled away with about two minutes left. The fieldhouse was very quiet at one time.

 

I will say that it was a nice effort by Harrison, but the timing here is a bit off and "should have won the game" is a little bit of a stretch.

 

Mason did trail 42-38 going into the fourth quarter, but scored the first 10 points of the quarter. They had tied it by the 6:57 mark and took the lead for good at 6:46.

No it wasn't the ref's in the game, it was the line up we keep playing a lot of recently. We seem to enjoy playing are so called "small line up" and leave the taller guys on the bench. Example, why is Phil Barner playing so little time now ? He didn't play in the second half at Elliott Co, and played so little tonight. We need the height to help alter shots and get a lot more rebounds... The small line up will get Mason beat to a good team with size and depth such as Clark Co. and Scott High.

This was nice little win for Mason to have its leader in Middleton in street clothes.Need to get him healthy now and get ready for that Championship push now.

I told mcmama last night that I thought he looked like he had lost about 15 pounds. Better to get the rest now.

 

I don't have any inside scoop, so I can't answer about Russ Middleton. He looked to be moving fine last night, but that was in street clothes. :thumb:
