I mentioned them on purpose (sorry, Arizona, I forgot you). Whether they got to a WS is immaterial. Still shouldn't be teams there because expansion shouldn't have happened. MLB pitching was thin enough as it was without adding four more teams.

The A-Rod situation is more of a baseball problem than an A-Rod problem. What Rose did was worse.

The pitchers were juiced too, so in some ways it cancels each other out. Those HR records don't fall in a 26- or 24-team MLB, because the No. 4 and No. 5 pitchers guys like McGwire and Sosa abused aren't even in the league if not for unnecessary expansion.

What I was saying is that these guys these days and all the roids, Pete Rose done stuff to tear down his body, like drinking staying out all night and he still was one of the best to play. Heck if Rose would have been a health nut and used some roids he would have been even better.

Rose didn't drink. Also, "Greenies" were huge back in the day. Judging by Rose's past actions, I don't believe that abusing them would have been out of character for him. Rose hustled, but I guarantee he wasn't above cutting a corner.

The Marlins have already won two world series in the last 15 years. That is a lot more than most teams can say. Maybe there should be some contractions of teams...such as the Cubs who couldn't win a World Series if they were playing in an intramural league.

Pete Rose bet on baseball. It might have been when he was a manager and I'm sure he probably bet while he was playing. In ever club house across America it says the number one rule that baseball player do not brake is betting on baseball. For doing so they know that they will be baned for life. For this he must pay the price. What would baseball be if even ten percent where doing the same as Rose. And for A-Rod, until baseball get tuff with the juicers they will not stop it. The older player try to add a couple seasons playing against younger player. The younger player are trying to improve their stats. All sports are in bad shape. Its a shame that this is what are young people have for role models. I say rite the ship. Get them all out of the game.

Of course, the difference between the Cubs and Marlins is there are actual, real live Cubs fans. Miami has proven time and again they don't deserve a team by their overwhelming lack of support.
