Even though Shelby Valley beat Elliott I would still put Elliott above Shelby Valley after their 15 point win Tuesday over Mason.

Common now guys you know Holmes would have to be moved down. Eastern has to be the #2, not sure where to put Holmes.

1. Scott Co

2. Holmes

3. Eastern

4. Ballard

5. J'town

 

Tough to put Ballard ahead of Holmes considering Holmes beat them on a neutral court earlier in the year and you can't put J'town ahead of Ballard because they've now lost to them twice in a 3 week span.

 

I personally just don't think Eastern would beat Holmes head to head which is why I'd leave them at #2 and Eastern #3.

I think Eastern deserves to be ranked 2nd, they have only 1 loss. I dont know what kind of a lineup they have or who would win between them and Holmes, but in general when you lose and the team below you does not them you move down in the polls.

I understand you got confidense in your team and feel they are better than Eastern, but BGP poll should move Eastern up if they dont lose this week. Although they got a whole week since Cov-Holmes loss, time sometimes makes people forget.

Here are some that I question -

 

Seneca has played a tough schedule and has some nice wins but #12??? Maybe in the bottom 5 of the top 20 but no higher.

 

Boone County not in the top 20 really casts doubt on the poll, and I know the poll was out prior to the Holmes game but Boone County has played a tough schedule and has been the #2 team in N. Ky. all season. They should have been in the top 20.

 

Mason County is too high. They belong more in the 15 range. Very similar to Boone County and Mason is #9 while Boone isn't even in the top 20.

 

There are others that I question but it would be quibilling and too much of a subjective argument on both sides. I do think the top 5-6 teams is right on target.

Still don't see why Lexington Catholic is over Corbin.

I am very curouis about that Polston kid, he must be very skilled at getting to the basket and quick. I didnt see the stats on that game just hear say, did he for a fact make 37 FTs? That is a state record for Freethrows in a game, he also set in for attemps, But they do not have him listed. So I dont know if they only update a certain time of the year? They did have him listed on there breifly the day after but took it off.

I know Boone County was on the radar this week. However, other than a win over Adair County, there really hasn't been a win by Boone to "hang their hat on" outside of the Holmes win Tuesday.

Yep, they would probably beat McCreary Central by 30 or even more at home and probably by 30 at McCreary.:laugh:
