The Future, Technologically Speaking

Featured Replies

I love looking a new gadgets, I find some of the new possibilities so cool. Some of these have been a concept for a few years now, but they're so fun to imagine in everyday life.

Feel free to add any "future gadgets" you've seen or heard about.

This is available now:

Air2Water’s T16 - The T16 uses the Aquovate technology that works to convert ambient atmospheric water vapor into potable water, treated by Air2Water’s advanced membrane and purification technologies. This patented technology is unique in providing water in the purest form - much like crystal-like dew found only on the purest mountain tops.

Thanks, Blue Magic, I love this kind of stuff.

The flexible things are really cool . . . it would sure save me alot of $$$ as my dd has a tendancy to drop her phone and breaking it! I'm starting to think she does it intentionally to get a new one!!

It's pretty interesting stuff. Just like a touch screen phone 5 years ago would have been unheard of and you can get those for a mere 99.99 now-a-days. I want that Nokia phone. That thing looks sick. I'm guessing that wont be out for another 5 or 6 years?

Pretty cool gadgets!

To coin an old-school phrase; if we can put a man on the moon, we should be able to invent an unbreakable cell phone.cell.gif

However, I do not believe that's in the financial interest of the phone companies.

Or in a teenagers quest for the latest/greatest phone available!! :isurrender:

I love the oragami DVD, and the OLED idea, but the tile thing seemed kind of pointless. You can do all that with Windows -- and you don't have to carry around a bunch of tiles. The bookmark thing was just a little creepy. :eyeonyou:

How cool is this!?

Pretty cool but I'll stick to my car or bike before I purchase one of those. Or I'll just ride one of my friends that decides to buy one.

This is a must!

Tempra Technology and Crown Holdings have partnered to develop the world's first self cooling beer can. It looks like a normal 500ml can, but features an integrated self-cooling device that reduces the "contents by a minimum of 30° Fahrenheit (16.7° C) in just three minutes."

When activated, the all natural desiccant contained within a vacuum draws the heat from the beverage through the evaporator into an insulated heat-sink container.

This game includes sounds and images, bringing entertainment value to where you’d least expect. It will most likely will be installed in airports and schools “with the functional purpose of improving hygiene”.
