Not sure there. Just hearing grades will keep him from Illinois...

The Courier Journal will run the story tomorrow morning in Jody Demling's blog. I believe he may get a shot at offense at Illinois.

I'm 97.5% sure that's what is going on here...

I don't blame the young man and the other highly touted players for leaving town. I simply wish U of L and UK were more attractive choices and would do a better job of keeping the local talent here.

Brohm was never leaving the city limits. Neither was Bush. Both families were life-long U of L fans.Their talent level is hard to come by.

I found it interesting that Coach K is quoted in the C-J that he is now turning his attention to local recruits for the future. Coach Phillips has done very well on behalf of UK in Louisville and as it stands right now, will land the talent from Central High again next season.

^ Justin was never going to be a Card....neither was Jordan.

And there is any question about Krag not getting it???...

....I'll take on Krags in another thread.

This one aint over people...

Sounds like he wants to play RB and if that is the case he had very very little chance of doing that at OSU. He may have a better chance getting on the field as a RB at Illinois good luck to him.

Bush could not get into Ohio State, that is the main reason he ended up at UL.

I have heard that he may be trying to get back involved in Louisvile high schools...I have heard they rarely made it over to Central.

Rivals has removed Green as a Illinois verbal.

It is a three team race...OSU, ILL, and UK.

If Justin Green desires to play on the offensive side of the ball in college, you can bet that UK and Joker Phillips will tell him he can. UK is in desperate need of some fast kids to carry the mail.

I really see this kid as a pro-style cornerback. He has the right stature and certainly the right speed to make it to the NFL in that position. If I were him, to heck with wanting to touch the ball, since his future appears to be too bright as a cornerback.

Per my OSU contacts - Justin Green has signed his LOI with Illinois as expected. Good luck to him.

He was burned to a crisp at corner at the Army All-American Bowl game and was never mentioned as an OSU verbal commitment during the telecast which I found odd at the time.
