Well there goes Scott Co's trip to Myrtle Beach next year for the BBC. They make this trip every other year so I'm sure they will not go now. It has lost all its prestige per Big Spikes. Sorry Scott Co look for some warm weather somewhere else next year!

My only thing is that when Scott goes (beach ball classic) it isn't the highlight their schedule. It's one thing to play in a tournament, sure the Beach Ball Classic isn't bad but Scott always plays tough teams though besides whatever tournament they are in. I seem to remember them playing Huntington High twice during the OJ Mayo/Pat Patterson year. Plus they will play all comers in the state. And I know you'll say EC invited teams to come to Sandy Hook, why don't they go on the road? Scott, Holmes and the like don't need to validate their schedules by playing Elliott, but Elliott could have used games with them if they wanted to be in this argument. Plus, at the BBC how many of the top teams in the tourney did EC play? 1? I don't know i'm just asking.

I'm not trying to make this offensive to anyone, but I think the argument to exclude Elliott from the top 10 has major merit, and it's not that anyone is out to get Elliott. I for one don't care if they are a big school, small school, have won 50 state titles or none, I rank teams as I see them. I also think that people have to not take these rankings as a slap in the face. I have said Elliott is a top 10 or 15 team based on their accomplishments this season, really what more could you want? EC is much more dangerous as an underdog anyways. i.e. vs. Mason in the 1st round last year.

Eta, you & BigSpikes kept saying you were waiting for a reply from post 67 & there wasn't anything from that post to acknowledge or reply about. As far as post 66 & 82 - not being sarcastic, again I do not see anything that warrants a reply, sorry.

Look I agree Holmes would most likely beat Elliott 7 out 10 times if not more but I just get tired of the constant negativity from the EC bashers. True they haven't won a big game especially in state tournament & true their schedule needs a lot of work as I have been saying for 3 years but that does not deny the fact they are a very good team. Not well coached at all, but a very good team thanks primarily to talent in the top 5. Definetly a top 5-7 or 10 team. My comments are not manly of EC but for any team especially the small schools & especially the EKY schools. True the track record of such schools is not there, which leads to the skepticism from others but occassionally these schools put together teams that can compete. Outside fans always look at the history of these type of situations & not the situation of that particular team when judging them. Not only does this reflect of EC this year & the past three years but also Shelby Valley. Even though SV had played a better schedule the last few years they still did not get any true respect until winning the ALL A. Remember there was a Paintsville team of the not to distance past that won the "Big Show"

My comments actually had nothing to do with Elliott County but rather in regards to your comment that both teams in the vidoes of Holmes look "weak." I was just trying to shed some light on your comment to make you realize how good the Largo team really was and that they had some players. They must not have been too bad if their team and best player got recognition on espn.com.

HAS ANYONE SAID ELLIOTT IS NO GOOD? I don't think so. Just because people said that they think they should be #8 or 9 in the state instead of 3 or 4, some posters have been up in arms. It really doesn't matter. Like I said thing will take care of themselves at the state tournament. As a 16th region fan I would like to cheer for Elliott, but posters on this site make that hard to do. Everything I say is reported and deleted, and I have never said anything that warrants that. I think EC has some great players and more importantly some great kids, and they are in the top handful of teams in the state.
