Why do people think Petrino can't play qb at trinity next year?

Featured Replies

I think Nick will do fine. He does not have to be all world for the Rocks to be successful. The O will have plenty weapons to unload on people.

Plus, I have a feeling they may not need to score as many points this coming season. :sssh:

Does 5'8'' a buck fifty five mean anything?

He is about 5'9 now and 170. He's getting bigger.

He's not 170

There's no way you gain 20lbs. since Aug. esp'ly during football season unless you're Sammy Sosa or work at a local resturant like me.

He's a growing boy...? :D

My 6'1" sons were 5'6" as sophmores. Kids grow at different times. I'll let the coaches pick the QB. I'll just show up and enjoy.

If you are eating the right food and working out very hard, this is very possible. Especially when you are talking about a 15-16 year old boy. However, if he has put on that much weight, it may mean that he is closed to finished growing.

Get a new DC?

Not that I'm aware. I just think our D will be stronger the next two seasons with the players that are returning.

Why do you take so many shots at Coach Bean? He must have hurt your feelings pretty badly somewhere along the way, or so it seems.

BTW - this past season, our opponents averaged 14.2 points per game. St. X - 11.4.

He'll be just fine, and you know that. It takes time for a group to gel.

We didn't do to bad last season considering we had a new OC, a new DC and a new and fairly untested QB.

Do rock fans think that Petrino will be be better, worse or about the same as Savko? (overall performance)

I don't think he'll have as many YPG as Savko, but will certainly accumulate a lot of rushing yards.

Better - ?

Worse - NO

A great contributor - WITHOUT A DOUBT

Sometimes you wish you could make the smilies bigger...

BUT when you are practicing/playing football Aug. - Nov. you can't gain 20 productive pounds. Now, from Nov. - July it's very possible to gain 20lbs.
