One of Ryle leading scorer, McLeish hardly played in the first half due to fouls.

 

IMO Holmes in is the best team in the state but Ryle played them well tonight. It wasn't because the Johnson brothers were in foul trouble and missed opportunities. Ryle had the same issues.

 

Holmes has a great team and J. Riley is not only a great player but seems to be a great young man as well.

 

One bright spot for the Raiders tonight was their JV team beat the Bulldogs. I believe that was only their 2nd lost of the year.

His maturity and unselfish play is worth everything to the Bulldogs. I kind of think that he's the stick that stirs their drink.

Very true. Riley is a very fine point guard with great instincts and a calm demeanor. A blue-collar team like Ryle would be pretty darn good if they had a great h.s. point guard like Riley.

Have to agree with both of you on all parts.

 

Ryle is one solid PG away from being a VERY GOOD team. Not having a PG that can take over a game hurts them at times.

 

Game was VERY physical and the refs were pretty bad to say the least. They must have called a travel atleast 15 times between the two teams.

 

Nobody from either team really stood out outside of Riley. Pittman played well early but kind of disappeared in the second half. All in all a good win over a solid Ryle team.

I didnt think the refs were bad. It was just a physical game. That is Ryle's style. There have been some heated games with Ryle from other teams in the area. Scott for one...but this year the Eagles laid the wood.

BTW, who is #31 from Ryle? He did A LOT of complaining tonight during the game and seemed to get very frustrated with Pittman's defense.. He kept trying to take the ball in and lower his shoulder in to Pittman, only to have him stand still with his hands straight up and block several of his shots. I was surprised he didn't get t'd up toward the end when he started yelling at the ref. Even his teammates were pushing him and telling him to calm down.
