January 24, 200917 yr I'm a fan of sort of letting the dog name themselves. Lucky, for instance. When my daughter brought him home, she wanted to name him Rambo. There was no way that dog would ever live up to a name like Rambo. :lol: After a few days, I kept saying "Lucky Dog, Lucky Dog, I'm a Lucky Dog" whenever I saw him cavorting around. He was just so joyous and happy! After a few days, he was "Lucky".

January 24, 200917 yr Author Pappy Van Winkle, after the $400 bottle of bourbon. Kind of a droopy-faced name, with a splash of Kentucky flavor. Kids can call him "Pappy." Or, if female, "Mammy." I like it, definitely on the list.
