He would be the 5th best if Lohse and Wellmeyer pitch well and Harang is anything like last year...Those are mighty big "ifs" ... There isn't a general manager in baseball right now that would take Lohse or Wellemeyer over Harang, money and contract being the same. Most wouldn't take Carpenter over him, either, given his injury history. Harang is a nice commodity in baseball ... a starter who can give you 200+ solid, above-average innings every year, given proper usage. And yes, that is a Dusty reference ...
