I never buy a hard copy paper, but in this case I picked up the Courier Journal about an hour ago. Great article on these guys and this will go in the scrapbook. I started following them Dec 07 and knew then that they were something special. Yes I am from Garrard County, but much like Joe B. this is my favorite HS team of all time going back to the late 60s. I have only missed two games this year and will probably only miss one more at the very most. I would drive 500 miles round trip to watch these young men play. Heck I did it driving to Myrtle Beach. No matter what they score, how far behind, or badly they are shooting they still think they will win. That showed when they were 17 down to AC and 18 down to Cedar Hills. Their determination, resolve, mental toughness, playing together as a team, relentless full court pressure, team shooting from downtown, and constant pushing of the ball is unlike any HS team I have seen in 40 years. Holmes or Scott County or some other top ranked team may beat them, but they will have to bring their best shot and then before the game is over may have to bring it a second time. These guys don't ever quit and never believe it is over. There is always a run or a bunch of runs coming sometime before the clock hits 0:00.

I know that in the last four years you have had a very special group of boys, talented and play together well. I love to watch them play but as I asked , will the fan support be the same next season with only one starter back. Maybe so, I remember when basketball was the only thing in our small town and the gym was full regardless of the talent level.

So do I! I remember years ago when they weren't expected to get out of the district, but the people came anyway!

I'm very proud of these boy's. This is a very nice article and I for one appreciate the kind words written by the author.

Wonderful article about these outstanding young men and Sandy Hook. I'm proud that they have obtained the recognition they have.

games in my time, but I don't know of a team with this kind of following since Ritchie Farmer and Clay Co. I'm not from EC and had planned on going to the SEC Tournament this year instead of Sweet Sixteen, but teams like this make

people want to be at Rupp for the greatest show in basketball.:dancingpa

This team reminds of the Richie Farmer Clay County teams. I hope they get the big trophy come March.
