Liggins & Harrellson

Featured Replies

I haven't liked Liggins since the begining. If Porter is going to continue playing like he did last night, there is no need for Liggins this year.

Harrellson would hve been embarassed last night.

No worse than any of the Vols. :D

Now it looks as if the rumors of him walking out of practice or being kicked out of practice were NOT true. Who knows what happened with Liggins, but in the end, all that matters is Kentucky got the W.

Harrellson I dont know but Liggins you can probably speculate one of 1,000 things. This kid needs guidance. He has been lucky BCG has been patient with him and realizes he is a freshman but he is an adult gotta grow up.

Harrellson was the first one to get to Meeks after the game and bear hugged him! He seems like the perfect teammate. As for Liggins, all the talent in the world but an attitude of a spoiled brat.

Understand you're complementing Porter but can't agree with Liggins not being needed. The PG role, is very demanding both ends of the floor.

Liggins like most freshmen, must adjust to the demands of the Coaching Staff and the requirements, of the student-athlete. For some, not easy making the adjustment from High School superstar, to not being the focal point. Liggins will develop and become, a solid PG and score 10-12pts per game. I can see his defensive development being an area, which can get him playing time but he must accept his role, strive to improve and work out his problems.

Harrellson must understand, he doesn't have to shoot every time he touches the ball. He looks in the flow one minute and the next, just runs up and down the court. He'll improve and hopefully will be this year.

Just one of the multiple personalities of BCG that doesn't like Liggins or Harrelson was on the bench tonight. Trying to second guess anything that he does is fruitless. I'm not convinced that he even know why he does it. Maybe he wanted fans to stop asking about Galloway or Slone. The mystery that is Billy Clyde continues. Don't be dismayed. Liggins and Harrelson may both play 30 minutes against Georgia and Patterson may not see the floor.
I doubt that ever happens.

Harrelson is just to slow to play at that pace. He can play some games, but against the up-tempo teams the game is just too fast for him.

As has been stated, the matchups were not good for Harrellson. I would say he sees double digit minutes against Georgia.

In slow paced games, I like Harrelson in the line-up with Patterson for the high-low. Harrelson can hit the mid-range shot when defenders drop down to double Patterson.
