What did Vance Hall do

 

Vance took the ball strong to the hole all night. He had some nice 3 point plays in the first half. Also he attacked the glass well tonight. One thing I dont think he gets a lot of credit for is his ability to find the open man on the fast break. During the 3rd quarter he found Meyer open for some threes and Hicks on some run outs, also played good defense tonight.

Feb. 17 - George Rogers Clark (H)

Feb. 20 - Anderson County (H)

 

And there are many tougher games besides just that.

 

They are working on a game with Dunbar also. Not for sure if it will happen or not but the 31st is the date they are shooting for.

FC hasn't been out rebounded all year and they could go the rest of the season without a team doing so.

Come on Dawg, be nice. We know Holmes is the premier team in the state. I don't care what happens, I'll be at Hooters on the river after the game, and I'm counting on Eta to join a few of us fans of the weak middle sister of the 11th region.

 

FC will play Dixie Hieghts on Saturday.

Donavon Johnson for SC is a very good player. I'm guessing 6'4" to 6'5". Very athletic. As good as many of the top players in the state that get big time PR. Also, watch out for 8th grader Darrell Hicks (cousin of Deron Hicks of FC). This kid is long and athletic (about 6'3"), starting as an 8th grader.

 

Overheard former Shelby County Coach Mason advising Hicks to work on 70% fundamentals and 30% playing games in the off season. If he follows this advice he is a name we will be hearing alot about in future years.

Congrats on another Flyer win, hopefully the "weak middle sister" can be lucky enough to stumble on the court with the likes of Holmes and Scott County!!! Keep it up guys, have fun and play hard!

I am surprise they are going to let the Holmes game continue. Like the movie Cinderella Man, I believe that the Eta Rho is going to show films of Holmes games to the Franklin County players so that there is not any liability for the coming onslaught. :-)

I think then that Deron Meyers scored 38. Deron Hicks + Barrett Meyers.

From what I hear the Jamesville-Dewitt team out of New York that the Flyers played would be in the top 3 in Kentucky. Im not sure if they can pull it out at Holmes without Deron and Oakley, but mark my words you will see a game and a half out of the Flyers when Billy and the boys from Scott County come to Frankfort.

 

I agree that this is going to be a real test w/o two key players, this we know, but I do think FC will come to play. This is a great opportunity for other players to step up to this challenge, and there are some others that could fill in. Biggest concern will be staying out of foul trouble for the Flyers, the best is still yet to come. Who couldn't get up for a game like this?

I agree, they will definitely play hard. Who wouldn't play hard against one of the top ranked teams in the state. It's going to be tough for the flyers without Hicks and Watkins. For the flyers to win this game every thing needs to click. Donovan and Conner have to play strong inside and Meyer and Hall need to limit turnovers.

 

I thought Donovan and Conner played strong inside in the Shelby game. They got absolutely hammered inside. It was more than just being physical. Shelby had to play that way because they are a much smaller team. Believe me, I have no problem with a physical game, but the officiating was very inconsistent. This is the reason Shelby was in the game. Franklin County is a much better team in my opinion. From experience I know that when you visit an 8th region school like Shelby or Anderson you don't get any calls. That's what you have to expect. This was a great win on the road for the flyers.

Good game I thought Shelby Co would pull this out though...
