What was the score of the Deming game?

What the heck happened to hospitality as in hospitality room for the tournament? Someone told me it was pitiful and all they had were a few cookies and fruit. Not that you have to have a buffet like Golden Corral but what a sad state where you offer a few cookies and fruit. Maybe they are just trying to help us watch our weight.:banana:

Looks like St Pat will meet Paris.

I'm taking Paris 40-36. This is and has been their tournament for the last 5 years.

St. Patrick is a better team than Paris.

Have you seen St Patrick play this year? Saying that Bracken has better post players is quite a stretch. Klee has had double doubles in several games. She had a tremendous game against the #2 ranked team in the 10 region. Chamberlain had 5 three pointers and a game high 21 points against a very good West Carter team in Olive Hill. And not to mention St. Patrick won against Bracken at Bracken. Not to take anything away from the Bracken post players but to say that Bracken definitely has the best post players is a stretch.

 

After the game, I stand by my statement.

Chamberlain is more of a perimeter player than post player. She hit the 3's to start the game out but did not give a lot inside. She is a very nice player, though.

Haight and Ahrens were better than one Klee while Klee is also a nice player.

But defensively Ahrens was tough and Haight did not play as well against St. Pat as I have seen her play.

 

St. Patrick is very tough and I think they handle Paris in the final and win by double digits. They are a fun team to watch and seem to be a fun team to coach. They do go out and play tough defense and I love tough defense.

Chamberlain is a 2 or 3 more than a 4 or 5, but she has to play where she is needed. She has always had to play 4 & 5since 5th grade. Klee is a work horse and held her own tonight. She had some shots blocked, but keep going back to the basket and had a nice game.

Klee did a very nice job and was impressive. But Bracken has 3 good post players. They have the depth and the talent so why I said they had the better post players. No knock on Klee.

 

Same way that St. Patrick having the better perimeter players is a knock on Bracken. St. Pat simply has 6 or 7 that can run out there and play where Bracken has a couple of girls that have to play the almost the whole game. And yet, Bracken's perimeter players are nice players. But St. Pat's are better as a group.

 

I pick St. Pat to beat Paris tomorrow night and if they get the right draw, they could make it to the championship game of the regional tournament come March.
