All about making money.

Poorly organized, haven't sent a team there in a year.

That is all that place cares about. I have heard they are going under too and looking to sell right now. The management there is AWFUL.

Been there and wont be back. Football on the hardwood is all that is and selling BCI t-shirts. I am all about trying to get competetive games but its all about winning a trophy and ages are not checked. At the 7-9th grade levels it can make a huge difference. I remember we took a group of 6th graders out there from Highlands for the BCI Middle School tourney. They beat a pretty scrappy Bracken Co team who all looked similar in age and I applauded their effort and competetive nature. Then they had to play this team from Whitley Co who had 5 kids all atleast 5'10 180lbs with hair under their arms. Our kids were still 2-3 yrs away from puberty but they were in our division and claiming to be 6th graders. I hope they were proud of taveling 3 hrs up I-75 with older kids to win some 6th grade BCI hardware. LOL

It wasn't all that long ago that SOAS sold it to its current owners, was it? I wonder if Gene Daniels would be interested in buying in back (for like half of what he sold it for ;)).

If Clevenger isnt doing atleast 3 tournaments a week with 5/6 teams I am sure it is losing money. His cheap price probably doesnt help either. I would think that concessions, admission and t-shirts could help but I am sure the cost to run a facility that size is huge.

The Refs this year are the best they've ever had..

It is really physical and good for the boys if they want to mature into what it takes in the high school level.

I have played there in a few leagues and the ref's were awful. Apparently you have to be certified, but I can assure you that most of the refs weren't.

What draws aau teams to tournaments? Is it number of games or quality of teams?

I think Mr. Danials still owns it and leases it to Clevenger and the current manager has been there since it started many years ago. Hopefully it get's better.

It's convenient but that is about all I can say. I can only hope with the newly created Midwest Hoops organization at Sports Plus they can provide a quality alternative. It's amazing that Louisville has three great facilities but the greater Cincinnati area doesn't have one solid one.

I think Sports of all sorts on Mt. Zion is a quality facility and the leagues are very competetive. I have been pleased with it so far this season. Our 14U team is registering for the 2nd winter session.

I think they need a facility right down by Newport on the Levee. This would be a great centrally located spot where teams from NKY and Cincinnati could play without having to travel very far.

^ I play in one of the Adults leagues at Mt. Zion its pretty decent.
