Twilight Zone Marathon

Featured Replies

Anyone been watching it on the Sci Fi channel? I have really been enjoying it! Brings back a ton of memories. I didnt realize how many stars were in the episodes.

We watched a number of them last night...I didn't realize until I was watching last night that Donna Douglas (Ellie Mae Clampett) was the blond on the show where she wanted to change her face to look normal.......normal to them was everyone looked AWFUL. and they thought she was ugly.

I really do enjoy watching these old shows......

This is one of the things I look forward to every year!

I didnt know they did it every year. Good to know!

I have the DVDs of the complete seasons. Hangman and I did a thread on this a couple of years ago. He is a bigger fan than I am. I used to stay up till midnite and watch an episode till a couple of months ago when they took the show off. Watching "living doll" right now. Glad to know others like it too.

The 9 o'clock episode, "The Monsters Are On Maple Street" is one the best known of the series. It's underlying theme is about the Red Scare of the 1950's.

I am watching living doll also. UC is playing in the Orange Bowl, so I am not sure how long I can hog the bedroom tv before the hubby shuts me down.

I want to get the complete series. I have also watched the "Bender Ball" commercial so many times I am almost brain washed into getting it.:creepy:

Is that lady Kate Jackson's twin or what? The black headed lady.

As atticus mentioned, I'm a huge Twilight Zone fan. I haven't got to watch as much of the marathon that I would like to this year, unfortunately.

Some good episodes remaining tonight... "Nightmare at 20,000 Feet", "It's a Good Life", "The Lonely", "The Jeopardy Room", and "The Mirror". Some of these are on pretty late (or early, depending on how you want to look at it) but they're great. There are some other nice ones remaining as well, but those are my favorites.

"Time Enough at Last" was on during the 8:00 hour. That one's my favorite, I do believe. My second favorite "In Praise of Pip" with Jack Klugman and Billy Mumy. I'm also a big fan of "The Hitch-Hiker", "The Howling Man", "The Hunt", "Uncle Simon", "Night Call", "Nothing in the Dark'.... Too many to name. I don't even know that there are episodes I dislike! I just love the show.

By the way, Sci-Fi does these marathons every New Years and every 4th of July!

I think "Two" with Charles Bronson and Liz Montgomery was your least favorite but you may have still liked it. I do not like it except for Liz. Very boring. Every other one you named I love and I include "Midnite Sun"; where the sun is supposedly coming closer to the earth.

You're right, I forgot about "Two"... I gave it a try again 4th of July marathon time to see if maybe I just didn't appreciate it at the time of the last thread, but man that's just boring!

I like the one where the kids' parents are getting divorced, so they go through the swimming pool to live with a bunch of kids with an old woman. I forget the name of the episode.

That's called "The Bewitchin' Pool".. Good episode aside from the fact that the audio and video tracks don't sync up for some parts at all. The reason for this is because it was filmed outside, and the background noise was too loud to use the original audio take.

I liked them all. My favorite was the one with the Talking Tina doll, probably because I remember that one as a kid. I also liked the one about the neighbors who turn against each other when they think one of them is working with the aliens.

All in all they are very clever. I remember being scared by these shows as a kid. Today's kids are too sophisticated to be afraid. Too bad. I am definately buying the dvd's.
