December 24, 200817 yr Every team is different. I think UK scheduled this way on purpose and we'll see if it pays off later in the season. :thumb:
December 24, 200817 yr If you'd take a look at my post, I wasn't comparing it to UofL's schedule...they're both weak. Well we have to compare it to SOME schedule. How about UCSB, UNC Asheville, Oral Roberts, Evansville, and Valpo? Presbyterian, Georgia Southern, Rhode Island, SIU, Montana, Duquesne, Loyola? Mizzouri Kansas City, FL Gulf Coast, Coppin St, Kent St, New Mexico St, Jackson St? Western Carolina, Hartford, La Salle, Bryant, Delaware St, Buffalo, Stony Brook, Fairfield? Concordia U. St. Paul, Bowling Green, Georgia St, Colorado St, Eastern Washington, North Dakota St, Cornell, South Dakota State, SE Louisiana, High Point?
December 24, 200817 yr Well, they beat Austin Peay... As far as WKU goes, UL went down there thinking all they had to do was show up. They were tested, and failed. Again, you get much more out of a loss in a game like the WKU one than beating Tennessee St. by 50. So UK got more out of losing to VMI than beating TSU? I'm not buying that..
December 25, 200817 yr If it makes you feel better that your team is beating cupcakes by 50 and not being tested, then I say to each his own. I'd much rather my team be tested and challenged. You get MUCH more out of those games... He posted the Louisville schedule which is arguably just as bad. This is simply the way college basketball is now. Do I like it? No. However, UK did have two preseason top 5 teams on their OOC schedule, how many teams can say that?
December 25, 200817 yr Don't worry, after their game on Monday the 29th, I can't use it anymore. Well at least not until next year. SEC may be awful, but every team with the exception of Alabama is ranked in the top 200. In sticking with the thread, Cats by as many as they want, just keep playing team basketball and keep the turnovers down. Exactly what Im looking for in this one
December 27, 200817 yr Going to my first game of the year tomorrow and even though I know it will be a blow-out it will be nice to enjoy a fast paced run and gun UK team which I never really got to enjoy in person. From the sound coming from rupp while watching games on tv it seems rupp has a new energy too it and isnt so dull!
