Excellent post! Many of these UK recruits who are three or four star players on the recruiting services are built up to be the program's savior. They are all being set up for failure because they are not ready to play at the UK fan base's expected all-American level as a true freshman. A classic example of it this season: Aaron Boyd

From what I have read and seen you would have thought he might enter the NFL draft after his freshman year. Those of us a little closer to the situation did not. After his bout with mono, he should have been redshirted. Big mistake for UK and for Aaron. As far as Morgan Newton goes, UK fans are buying into the same propaganda. Very unfair to the kid.

I know Cobb did alot of things this year but IMO Newton will be able to play the ATH role more. I think we'll see him line up in the backfield and run, catch it from the slot and plus return kicks. All of this assuming that Moss lives up to expectations and is our outright QB

I agree that Boyd would have benefitted from a redshirt; however, Kentucky was too thin at the WR position to redshirt Boyd.

No way that Newton returns kicks as a frosh. That job belongs to Cobb.

Something has always told me that Ryan Mossakowski will never come to UK. I might be wrong. One thing I am certain of is that Morgan Newton will never return kicks in his time at UK. Never! Why wouldnt he come to UK and start in the SEC as a true freshmen. I mean you may have more insight on the situation but if he comes then he will indeed be the starter. There's no better place in the country that prepare's freshmen to be than Texas. Why will we never see Newton return a kick???
