...and frankly, doesn't mean much else... those pollsters really have no rationale way to make such comparisons...

Not trying to quibble, but seriously - how many teams from TX, FL, OH, CA, etc. have you seen?

 

It's like the poll itself...as a poll, it's worthless. Nobody can possibly see enough teams from across the nation to make a reasonable ranking.

 

Trinity may well be one of the top 5 teams in the country - or perhaps, they're not even in the top 100. (that's just the top 2 teams per state, average). It's not a poll you can reasonably debate...nobody has enough info to base an opinion on... So ranking them #5 is just as easily defensible as ranking them 101st.

 

Still...like I said before...it's something every senior on those teams will be able to brag about to their kids and grandkids someday. Certainly, a very nice honor. Congrats to both teams.

You may well be right - I'm not saying you're wrong - but without any sort of rationale behind it, asserting that there's not 42 teams better than Trinity has about as much value as much as these "polls".

Who knows and who cares. It's good for the school, and quite frankly all other schools in KY for them to be ranked that high.

True! I don't have much to say about any polls in any sport... but if someone has to be ranked, it might as well be us (Trinity). GO ROCKS! #20!
