Is there a 6A schools in that area that could take advangage of the home field edge, bring a huge home crowd and possibly give X and T some decent competition?

I've said this before. Trinity and X should hope the KHSAA makes them play in the playoffs prior to the state championship game. They get to split the gate! If they play in the state championship game the money goes to the KHSAA.

^ While it makes for a lesser matchup in the Finals, you are dead on....I love that extra gate money for our schools.

Trinity and St. X are currently in opposite brackets. However, the KHSAA has put them on notice that this is subject to change while they mull over dropping 1/2 of the playoff teams and taking Bowling Green into account. I believe they need to review how a region 1 school can make the finals in 6A.

 

They are in same bracket 09 but could meet in 10 round 3.

Playoff grid 09-10 Class 1A - 5A: 1vs2, 3vs4, 5 vs6, 7vs8

6A grid 09: 1vs2, 3vs6, 4vs5, 7vs8

6A grid 10: 1vs4, 2vs7, 3vs5, 6vs8

I believe this was done inaccordance to the KHSAA by-laws of a double top secret BLIND draw.
