I'm not Trinity Alum at all. I just reconigze a great program when I see one. I also reconigze a simple "thankful" thread that has been hijacked by those who are a tad bit jealous. I am simply defending CentreRocks because I don't think he's done nothing wrong at all.

I posted a Bama Fan only this early fall, but didn't mind if someone wanted to say something and they didn't care for Bama. They posted and didn't say anything nice and were kinda mean...12-1 :ylsuper:

 

So I won't post anything about the Rocks. But if they want to know how I think things look, I don't mind sharing some things.

I think that CentreRocks is being misinterpreted. I believe that what many are taking as a slam on other programs is actually meant to be a reminder to Trinity fans to be thankful for many things: our Coach (who is maligned by many, and not just opponents); his staff who are obviously very, very good at their jobs; the level of support our community gives to the program to continue to improve; and of course, our players. While the numbers are many, not nearly all are as naturally gifted as many believe. We are very lucky that we have the interest and committment from top to bottom from the players. We should all be grateful for what we have.

 

CR...you are free to correct me, but after thinking about what you had written, that's what I took away from your post.

"Some teams couldn't even kick it to the 35 yard line. The long snaps looked like knuckleballs. The offenses were simplistic and the tackling was abhorrent. Penalty flags littered the field. Some schools couldn't throw the ball at all, let alone a 20 yard out. There were sloppy play and turnovers the whole weekend. Trinity is leaps and bounds above all of the teams I witnessed this weekend."

 

If this isn't a slam on all other programs that played this past weekend , I guess we are all misreading his post. This is a public forum and I looked in to see what good things T fans had to say about the game itself and the kids since I didn't make it down to the game. I am sure not all T fans share in this outburst.

And neither does the Guru as far as I can tell. Centrerocks is correct. The level of play was questionable at best for many teams. NCC-18 penalties.

That's horrible. Even if Ft. Campbell was talking over your signals, that shows a complete loack of focus or discipline or both.

 

Central played well. They were also defeated by Manual during the regular season. SK-difficulty completing a pass. Kicking game horrible.

 

Beechwood didn't exactly shine in the A game and they were defeated by NCC (as was SK).

 

Highlands was not the juggernaut as predicted. I see his points.
