Russell was able to keep it close for a while, but Bath had to much muscle inside, and the Devils got cold from the outside. I was really impressed at how much Russell has improved from last year. Coach Kidwell has them going in the right direction.

I was real disappointed in coach Kidwell's bench decorum. I was sitting up behind the benches and Coach Kidwell was smarting off to Coach Hicks. He kept saying when are you going to take your starters out. I was then watching after the game and Coach Kidwell would not even shake hands with Coach Hicks.

Hicks has that effect on people. lol I was looking at Bath Co schedule and I could've swore they were to play a team from the 14th but it isn't on there now. Anyone know what happened?

How long were starters kept in the game?

I heard until about the 1:30 mark. Kidwell had already emptied his bench.

The score was 72-45 with 6 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. The score ended up 73-58. For anyone to try and say that the starters were left in or that Coach Hicks was trying to run the score up is crazy. When games are in hand then coaches work on things in the final quarter just like practice situations. Coach kidwell should be worrying about his team and not worrying about what other coaches are doing.

It is a matter of showing some class, not pulling your starters is showing no class....Merle is and always be a class act. If the score was the other way around I would bet my paycheck that Russell's starters would have been pulled early.

Situations are for practice. Gametime is about developing a bench. and getting them game time experience. Hicks is classless.

Isn't Kidwell the record holder for most technical fouls recieved by a coach in a season when he was the head coach at Lewis??? Class act eh? The starters were left in the game because of the comments made by coach Kidwell, there was no need for his comments. I think he needs some cheese with that wine!

I think some people are unsure about what coach Kidwell's comments were, he wanted one of his players to foul Taylor Maze who is the point guard at Bath County hard because he was still in the game. This was heard by Bath County AND Lewis County fans. I'm sure this won't be forgotten when Bath County travels to Russell on the 16th of January.......

Dude you are absolutely wrong. I have it on tape if you'd like to refute it. Starters in until :27 left in the game. You can dispute that if you like, it's not disputable according to the game film. Call it what you like.

 

I have a feeling that the tide will turn and you'll see a time in the future when Bath faces Kidwell and there will be a chance for the circumstances to be reversed.
