NewCath 40 Brossart 38 (Frosh)

Congratulations to Freshmen Breds. They showed a lot of heart tonight in beating a very good Brossart team on their home floor. The Breds were without 4 very good players. 3 football players and 1 injury. Great job by Coach Meyer and his team. Breds should only get stronger when they are at full strength. :dancingpa

Evan Morse, a man among men in the game, scores 12 points in the second quarter to turn the tide, and his game-high 18 points lead all scorers.

Nick Wolterman put in a solid effort with 14 and Zach Ryan added 7 as these three combine for 39 of the Breds 40 points.

Eight Mustangs put ink in the scorebook led my Matt Kramer with 8, Zach Fardo with 7 and Trevor Bezold/Spencer Brown 6 each.

Mustangs lead 6-3 after one and missing a plethorea of close in shots early. Breds tie it at 17 at the half, Stangs up one after three 28-27 and Breds win it in the fourth 40-38.

Nice photos and great breakdown as always Mustang. Where did those kids go to grade school? Ryan? Morse? Kramer and Fardo?

Tough loss for the Frosh Mustangs... Need to pick up the mistakes from this one and fix them quickly as a they face the talented Young Fosh Camels in the Crosstown shootout on saturday.

Could be a long afternoon for the Mustangs freshman against Campbell. Campbell's speed and intensity will be tough for the BBHS guards and bigs. Congrats NCC.
