Greatest Movie Moments

Featured Replies

We've had various discussions talking about favorite movies, favorite actors, favorite movies that aren't well known, etc... I wanted to start a thread about the greatest moments in movie history. I'll start with this great couple of minutes from "Top Gun":

"I hate it when she does that..."

I also love when Theo from "Die Hard" jumps in there on the mic at the end

The DDay scene in Saving Private Ryan is probably the most visual scene I have ever watched in a movie.

Another classic Rambo moment (too bad John Creece couldn't bring his karate over to this movie):

Yeah, that is one of the most chilling scenes in any movie I've ever watched.

When Robert Redford hits the game winning home run into the light standard and the sparks rain down on the field in The Natural, I get goose bumps every time

Of course, there is the classic scene at a Notre Dame football game when the crowd starts chanting "Rudy, Rudy, Rudy..." And the coach puts him in the game. I just got goosebumps from even typing that.

The scene at the end of Field of Dreams when Ray says "Hey Dad, you wanna' have a catch" and they start tossing. Still brings tears to my eyes.

When Rudy gets in the game. Hands down best chill up the spine moment I've ever seen in a movie....

The only thing that comes to mind right now, the deer coming out of Richards car in Tommy Boy. "Man I have seen some crazy stuff in my life, but that, was, AWESOME, hehe, sorry about your car though."

Agree on that one, it is unbelievable. WWII vets have said that scene does the most accurate job of portraying the real thing than any other movie.

Also "You can't handle the truth" in A Few Good Men is awesome.

I also agree, when Rudy gets in the game, sends chills up my spine everytime I watch it.

I love the "Stuck in the Middle" scene from Reservoir Dogs. I can't link to it though.

I like when the ENTIRE team goes in to the coach's office and lays thier jersey on his desk for Rudy
