December 5, 200817 yr I don't think I"m going to fool with going this year. I just can't get into a long trip to Memphis...
December 5, 200817 yr That's where I thought we would be after the UT game. I want to say disappointing, but how can anybody be disappointed with a bowl trip for the Football Cats after losing all that firepower?
December 5, 200817 yr I'm not disappointed at all if I look at the situation heading into the season. The disappointing part is looking at how close we came to pulling off a few more wins and seeing the mistakes that led to the Liberty Bowl. Still, I'll never be upset over a bowl game for the Cats. Another month of valuable practices and a great experience for the seniors and fans :thumb:
December 5, 200817 yr Author The game is Jan. 2nd... I didn't know it was that late in the bowl season...

December 5, 200817 yr Proud of the Cats for making a bowl this year. Went to the Vandy + Tenn game and I don't know if I can sit through watching the offense the way they are playing right now. Tulsa would be a tough opponent IMO. I don't know if I want to make that long drive but won't count it out yet.
December 5, 200817 yr I'm fine with this bowl...UK gets to choose so I see nothing wrong with it. I'm tired of the Music City Bowl...Who would have UK played if they chose the Music City Bowl.
December 5, 200817 yr Bad city, worse stadium, even worse opponent. Do you mean a "worse opponent" in the sense that Kentucky will beat them or will lose to them? I'm thinking a bowl game against 10-2 Tulsa or 8-4 East Carolina might be a loss for the Cats.

I'm thinking a bowl game against 10-2 Tulsa or 8-4 East Carolina might be a loss for the Cats. I took it as worse as in a no win situation of an opponent. If we win the game, the its because the SEC beat a lower level team. If we lose, then we look bad for losing to a lower level team - even if they are playing better.

I really can't see either of the C-USA teams beating UK. ECU fell off the map after a decent start, and when Tulsa played a couple of teams they got beat.
